Project Description

A stunning 1966 residence in Fendalton, that was destroyed in the Christchurch earthquakes, was part replica, part reincarnation. The new build benefits from the use of modern building products and methodologies, creating a hard-wearing and comfortable home that’s ready to face the future. The former living-room ceiling was rescued, relocated and reinstated above new and improved foundations. Exposed beams draw the eye to the vaulted ceiling, with tongue-and-groove lining carrying through to the sunroom.  The eco footprint is light with solar panels on the roof donate to power usage and Terra Lana wall batts provide a natural solution to insulation. Large walk-in showers in the tiled bathrooms are a convenient luxury for the retired clients who couldn’t be happier with their home.
